In the third phase, the planes have been rounded off.

Note that this will be a relief sculpture, so that it should be viewed from the front only. Since the carving makes use of a relatively thick piece of ivory, the appearance, when viewed from the front, will be of a sculpture in-the-round, but this is not so, as is evident from the alternate angled views.
