The level of detail in this carving may be a little over the top, to be sure, but the overall effect seems to be working. Each tiny section takes several hours to complete. The design evolves, becoming concrete in the carving process. I am greatful to Dr. Gord Frey, my former dentist now retired, who sold me his remaining dental burrs a few years ago. They are certainly coming in handy! :)
