YUKON SEASONS: RIGHT - PHASE 10

I have taken some time off lately, for the holidays and to give the work a rest. It is helpful to break once and a while, to come back to a work with fresh eyes!

In this phase, I have designed the cut patterns for the hair. I am attempting to create a design that will be pleasing to the eye (since it represents a large portion of the sculpture) yet still conveys the impression of a wet bear!

P.S. It has been a long winter. I have made the decision to leave Faro permanently and relocate to Whitehorse this coming June. I have rented a studio in a building where a number of other artists also work, and am looking forward to the change. Counting the days ...! :)

P.P.S. We will have lived in Faro for 16 years!
