So ... where have I been?

It has been a few months since the last progress update. I must confess that I have not been doing a lot of carving lately, a regrettable situation soon to be rectified, now that some major changes are behind me. (The learning curve parts anyway!)

In a nutshell, I was elected to Town Council and offered a position in personnel with the local mining company, which I accepted. Both good things, but challenging and time consuming.

Over the Christmas holidays and with a little rest, I have been able to pick up where I left off on the carving, completing the roughing out of the left wing. To my delight, some of the colour on the left wing has survived the carving process so far and promises to add a little interest to the finished piece.

Next, I'll begin at the head and move down the back to the tail.

It's good to be back ...
