DALL SHEEP 2 - PHASE 6 |
January 2, 2000
The left sheep has been roughed out. The head appears a little large for the body, but this will be addressed in the next phase. The left sheep is the most compressed of all of the sheep. It is a head on view, with all of the body appearing as it crests a rise. This presents some carving challenges, so that the figure appears full and round. The use of exaggerated lines within the figure will give the illusion of depth. My concern is that in this medium, details like lines do not show well. I will try to work this out as I balance the composition with the other figures as I go along.
Next to refine the figures and detail the heads.
Till next time,
Shane
