Torch Carriers assembled at the Old Alaska Highway turnoff. The torch was then walked to the Ibex Firehall accompanied by two fire trucks. One of the trucks led the procession and the other brought up the rear. Once at the firehall, short speeches were given by Bob Atkinson, Pam Boyde, Brad Cathers and Barbara Drury. Hot chocolate, tea, coffee, donuts and muffins were provided by the Ibex Hamlet Advisory Council, the event organizers, for the enjoyment of the torch carriers, speakers and guests.

Les porteurs du flambeau se sont rassemblés à la sortie de l’ancienne route de l’Alaska. Le cortège, escorté par deux camions d’incendie, a ensuite marché jusqu’à la caserne de pompiers d’Ibex. Le premier camion ouvrait la marche alors que le deuxième la fermait. Une fois le groupe arrivé à la caserne, Bob Atkinson, Pam Boyde, Brad Cathers et Barbara Drury ont prononcé quelques mots. Du chocolat chaud, du thé, du café, des beignets et des muffins étaient offerts par le Conseil consultatif du hameau d’Ibex, l’organisateur de cette célébration, pour le plus grand plaisir des porteurs, des conférenciers et des invités.
